Adam Green
Adam’s painting practice constructs a world of the future, narrating the adventures of two male twins in the fabricated town of Spheresville. This urban space blends 1900s Paris, Bladerunner and Futurama with a place of personal resonance, Chanctonbury Ring. As narrator of the mythologies, histories and societies that evolve, he uses an expanded field of painting, sculpture, drawing, installation and film to create visual science fictions.
Adam invents situations and settings to insert smaller stories within the two-dimensional scenes he depicts. At the same time, scenarios can leave the paintings to become ‘real-life’. For example, as performance art pieces.
In 2018 Adam completed an MA in Painting at Wimbledon College of Arts.
His paintings have been shown at the Royal Academy and he has exhibited regularly in London in galleries including Flowers Gallery, Cork Street and Medici Gallery, Cork Street. In 2012 and 2013 Adam showed at The Korean International Art Fair in Seoul. He also shows regularly at The Affordable Art Fair in Battersea.
