(Based on Victorian bas-relief sculptural decorations high up on the walls of Gallery 3 at the Royal Academy. Blake was an RA Schools student and of course his work strongly features angels. There was something of the visionary quality of his works that I was certainly aiming for in this and in my other angel prints listed here below)
